The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s 19th-century barn would have been torn down, its wood tossed into a scrap pile and its history forgotten if not for the fact that Delaware County’s Gallant Farm Preserve needed a barn and Structural Erectors was there to preserve history.
The barn was built around 1895 and originally was used on a farm in Radnor Township, in the northwestern part of the county. The zoo used it for storage.
